Weird Flower

Inspired by my Weird Plants book, a very weird orchid I saw on holiday in Cambridge Botanic Gardens! My friend Siobhan identified this as Miltonia Clowesi a very rare orchid from Brazil! 

Garden planning

They recommend drawing a plan of your garden. Trying to identify the plants, which is difficult when they are not flowering! The star is an old espaliered Bramley apple tree. I want to plant a herb border, facing south and maybe cut the corners off the lawn so it is circular. Sadly the previous owners took the rhubarb with them!
